In an oak forest about a one hour drive east of Gothenburg you will find Ekhagens Forntidsby. The village contains re-constructed hamlets from the Stone, Bronze and Iron Ages. Knowledgeable guides show you around and tell you about the buildings. In the summer, the houses are populated by displays of ancient people who look almost real. You can also try shooting with a bow or paddling in a canoe made out of a tree trunk. If you come by car, take Riksväg 40 eastwards and turn north onto road 46 at Ulricehamn.
