Districts of Naples

The city is rich in age-old history and contradictions. As a tourist, you have to decide which of its many attributes you want to focus on: the mysterious and fascinating aspect which has its roots in legends, or the city's more brutal and violent side, which is just as intriguing and displays the wounds of its turbulent history. There are no words to explain how disgusting this place is. The water is contaminated, the air is polluted, and worst of all crime goes unnoticed. Every single time me and my wife go out in town were being pursued by stragglers and bums in the street. Most neopolitans are so rude and uncurtious that it literally makes me sick to my stomach. Ask any Italian and they will tell you the truth about neopolitians. The ongoing trash problem in the streets around Naples is 100% unbearable and unbelieve... More

Having learned to drive in Manhattan I'm pretty confident on any road. But driving in Naples brought \behind the wheel tension\ to another level. It is the most crowded uncontrolled automotive free for all that I've ever experienced. Poor signage combined with street construction a garbage problem too much traffic and a constant swarm of motor bikes makes one think that they're a contestant in a road rage video game. The banged up condition of virtually every car on the road is the clue that... More
