Quaint town

but changingI loved Youghal and was enchanted when I saw it in 2000. A bit over a year ago I was there again and I felt like it was growing and losing a little of its charm...but beautiful nonetheless. The fishing boats feel of the town and quaint buildings is really nice. I believe Moby Dick was filmed there...I can see why. I hope to return again soon.... More

youghal stood in for new bedford massachusetts for the filming of moby dick in 1954. be sure to visit moby dick's pub (the spouter inn) where the same owner paddy will be glad to tell you all about the filming.... More

Stayed at a very nice hostel here. Ireland was having a heat wave and couldn't find a single store that sold sun screen--and by the red Irish faces neither could the Irish! A great environment great people and a pretty (but rocky) shore. ... More
