1.THE most gorgeous place on this planet!

I lived in Fairbanks in 2006 working for Alaska Airlines and had a house in Fairbanks on McKinley View Drive and mostly saw the Alaska Range on a daily basis and totally fell in love with it. Incredible! The Norhtern Lights the 23 hours of sunlight in June the mountains and not to forget some of the nicest people any where! I even didn't mind the cold weather in the winter because they have even THAT down to a fine science! You HAVE to go and see this place you'll fall in love with it. Go in... More

Go in the summer with the sun up all the time makes for gorgeous flowers too!

I live here and the park is NOT great. Last time I was there it was very run down and there is nothing for the kids. I wouldn't waste your time. There are many other places to go.. Chena Hot Springs is a fabulous place so is the Santa Claus House in North Pole AK.... More

AkMy wife and I drove the Alcan Highway pulling a 33ft rv trailer. Sometimes pulling a longtrailer you find yourself in tight spots turning corners and changing lanes. When this happened in Fairbanks more than once I was impressed with the motorist courtesy.Our pick-up needed serviced by the Chevrolet dealer. We just stopped in and they got usright in. We located a very nice rv park and then went shopping for groceries souvnirs.etc. The courtesy was thoughout the city. Theres a lot to see and d... More

AKWell I'm disappointed to have clicked onto this to find Nothing. However I've very much reading about the cities w/in other states which you do have information. Traveling became a passion when I was a child and crossed a border into another state where we turned around and returned to where we'd been visiting. Then at 18 a friend I had in highschool and I visited the Bahamas and Cuba. That did it and I've been travelling ever since to wherever I can. ... More
