I was fortunate to be teaching in a private Itailan preschool in Rome, Italy. The owner's parents granted us the use of an old villa in Frascati as a summer retreat for preschool children and their care givers. It was a haven that nourished the mind and spirit. On the property was a large garden from which we received an abundace of fresh fruits and vegetables. Every week we would pack a picnic and explore the lush countyside. Driving thru hillsides, refreshing in nearby lakes, or just being at one with nature was truely a remarkale experiece that I shall always treasure.
