Water is warm and great for swimming. Lots of seafood shacks and restaurants along beach. Indians mosly in a seperate area from tourists. Portugese influence is there. Grilled fish and shellfish is excellent. ( especially with garlic) Topless ladies sunbathing all over. A curiosity to the Indians who are very modest. Nightlife is there. Discos bars abound. Good place for the young and those who would like to be. History buffs don't want to mis Old Goa with 13th century churches and St Francis Xavier's resting place. ( His body is clearly visible behind glassed enclosure) Good museum there also Old Goa is a one hour taxi ride from the beach and will cost about 400 rupees
