1.spending time in the land of Volvo
We picked up our second cross country Volvo in 2005 and fell in love with Sweden. We are winemakers and have found nothing works as well for mountain vineyards. We decided to pick up our second Cross Country because we are awful about taking time off and it seemed like a vacation with a mission. We thought the people were approachable and very welcoming. We've been to Gothenburg three times -- each time to pick up a new Volvo. While the city is pleasant enough, I'm not sure I'd recommend it for a vacation spot. Basically, its a fairly industrial area. Each time, we've picked up the car and then driven into other parts of Sweden. We've returned the car at Gothenburg and flown away. I would believe that the city is a better idea if you visit during the summer. The canals and the waterways are probably far more attractive in the warm weather ... More
