First. Don't expect to be catered to. It's everyone for themselves. Newlyweds should consider the Poconos or other places which cow tow to you due to your new marrage status. Freeport is for the layed back. Save money by using the local bus. Eat only at the market place across from the Lucaya hotels. Speaking of which "only" stay at The Sheraton Grand Bahama which is part of "OUr Lucaya" with an ocean view. (That's a must!) Now you have the ocean to wake up to and an unbelieveable hotel pool. Across the street is the straw market with inexpensive (compared to hotel ) restaurants. The Greek one is probably one of the best for prices and no hustle and bustle. Instead of going to the downtown casino you have a smaller version right across the street. Again the more you go to Freeport the more it feels like your own home town. Don't expect nor will you get service. Expect nothing in that department and it will cut down on your vexation and stress. Bring your mags and extra viagra and enjoy the moment. Dan dbach102@aol.com
P.S. If you want to splurge think about the scuba course....for extra money they will film your adventure. It's an experience you won't forget and with the film you can bore your neighbors and in-laws but you will love watching it over and over and over again. :)
