Grand Canyon - South Rim

When I visited the Grand Canyon, it snowed in the morning. I have never seen anything so beautiful and majestic in my life. It was a magical day. The canyon stretched as far as I could see. It is beyond words to describe its beauty. I saw it through the snowflakes in the morning and through the 70+ degree sunshine in the afternoon. One of the best times of my life. The North Rim Rocks!

I live in Phoenix and have been to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon many, many times with friends and family since it's about a 4 hour drive from here and they all want to go. It is now so crowded that I dread going. The North Rim is more remote and takes longer to get to, but it is so beautiful it takes your breath away. It's higher than the South Rim surrounded by a lush pine forest. It 's cool in the summer (when the South Rim is uncomfortably hot) and has a gorgeous lodge with stone cab ... The North Rim of the Grand Canyon is a must. So many people fail to make the long trip around, but it is well worth the view. Make sure you rise early to see the sun come up. ... Read Full Review | Report This
