Halifax is located on the Eastern coast of Canada. It was created in the 1700s as a British military post, and soon thrived as a city in its own right. Now grown to a city of 100,000, Halifax is the capital of Nova Scotia. Most tourists are drawn to Halifax's white beaches and 16-kilometer long harbor. Halifax is perhaps best known for its association with the Titanic, as the final resting place of those who drowned when the Titanic ocean liner hit an iceberg.
There are many popular Halifax Hotels. One of the Halifax Hotels is the Prince George winner of the Best Hotel award many years running located in downtown Halifax. The Prince George is the only 4 star hotel in Atlantic Canada and it is very pet-friendly.
