My wife and I have been to Bermuda on pleasure and business.about 12 times. It is certainly the most beautiful island on this earth. We usually fly but have taken several cruises to Bermuda. The bus system of travel is not too expensive by American standards and quite reliable..We have stayed at the Hamilton Fairmont, the Reefs, Sonesta, Bermuda college,Grotto Bay, and some which are no longer in existence. Hotels way too expensive, most are old and not modernized. Ours on the beach was discounted to $300 per night, room was moldy and decore from the 1950's. Cab fares normal and restaurants serving excellent meals run up to $150 per couple without drinks or wine

Utterly Unimpressive

From the beaches, to the shopping, to the recreation...I was utterly bored to tears during my two-day stay here, as a stop along a cruise. I did find an art gallery in the port area, where the clerk was amazingly rude to me. I walked through several of the rooms, found something I loved (a 3 ft x 4 ft watercolor) hanging on a wall, and proceeded over to the shopkeeper to tell her I had found something of interest. Great Island and fabulous people

Have been going to Bermuda since 1980, 2 weeks per year. The island is a beautiful place and I have met fabulous people there. My kids have grown up with friends for life from Bermuda. It is expensive, but worth every penny.
