Hamilton, the capital of Bermuda, has the best attractions, shops, cafes, restaurants, and pubs on the island. There are a lot of free activities, such as watching the ships dock from Front Street, viewing Hamilton Harbor from Albuoy's Point, and taking a walking tour through the historic city.
From any of the Hamilton hotels on South Shore Road, you can enjoy the pink and white sandy beach. The Fairmont Southampton features The Newport Room, which is the only AAA 5-diamond restaurant in the Caribbean region. Enjoy the private guest-only Beach Club, play tennis, or go snorkeling or jet skiing. You can experience the best of Bermuda without even leaving the hotel.
Another of the Hamilton hotels located on South Shore Road is The Reefs. Travel and Leisure and Conde Nast magazines both rated The Reefs as "the best Bermuda hotel." Every room has an ocean view, every suite has a full kitchen, and every cottage has its own outdoor hot tub. Elbow Beach Bermuda also offers both well-appointed guest rooms as well as exquisite cottages. This hotel is situated on over fifty acres of tropical gardens and landscaping. Most of the guest rooms have been recently upgraded to 5-star accommodations.
Several miles away, but still in the South Shore region, is the Coco Reef Resort Hotel. This is one of the few Hamilton hotels full of aesthetically detailed architecture. The floor is patterned with over 6,000 square feet of quarry-cut marble. The fifty-foot atrium has a crystal skylight.
The Fairmont Hamilton Princess overlooks the Hamilton Harbor. Featuring both fresh and saltwater pools, this hotel is considered a tribute to old world Bermuda. You can swim with the dolphins at the dockyard or take a ferry to the private Fairmont Beach Club.
