Hong Kong is one of the most diverse and exciting vacation destinations in the world. Although Hong Kong is a bustling city, it is home to mountains, valleys, and coastline.

The Hong Kong Tourism Board has put together a program for tourists called the Cultural Kaleidoscope. From walking through the Central district to taking a Tai Chi class, this program has an abundance of free activities and it's a great way to explore the city while saving money.

The Central & Western district of Hong Kong is a tourist center with skyscrapers, historical buildings, private homes, and thriving businesses. Many Hong Kong hotels are located in these two districts and they give you a taste of traditional life in China, while keeping you close to the action and attractions.

One of these Hong Kong hotels, the Conrad Hong Kong, is recognized as one of the world's finest business hotels. Just a short walk to the shopping at Pacific Place and very close to a subway station that gives easy access to attractions such as Stanley Market, Ocean Park, and Disneyland Hong Kong.

The Grand Hyatt is located on the water and has a private yacht for guest enjoyment. Guest rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows with amazing views. While in your room, you can relax in the separate bathtub in the marble bathroom.

The JW Marriott Hong Kong is a unique five-star hotel located on top of Pacific Place. You will have exquisite views of the Victoria Harbour from your room. Special audio systems, large flat-screen televisions, and rich cotton linens will have you feeling right at home in your room.

Also located in the Pacific Place complex is the Island Shangri-La Hotel. Their signature tower contains 771 chandeliers, and is considered an architectural gem. The atrium features the world's largest Chinese silk painting, and it encompasses 16 stories.

Another great choice among central Hong Kong hotels is the Mandarin Oriental. It overlooks the Victoria Harbour. You can choose from a view of the water or of the city. The floor-to-ceiling windows will give you a great view of either. Each room has a butler who will bring you fresh fruit and a newspaper each morning.
