Our first trip to Honolulu was in 1968, when my husband came from Viet Nam for RR there. I swore to return someday, but it took 15 years before we were able to go there again. After 2 visits I bought a timeshare condo there in -84 and have only missed two times our yearly visits.Our homeowners meetings falls on the month of March. Our overall trip was great; however, while visiting the North Shore our rental car was stolen; along with 8 other cars being broken into. It was a nightmare, but other than that - we had a great time. ... Read Full Review | Report This

Forty Years Later . . .

I have been going to Hawaii since 1969 and have never gotten tired of it! My second most recent trip was in 2003 when we took my mother over to Oahi to visit Pearl Harbor. My mom was engaged to a Navy pilot who was killed at Pearl Harborduring the attack. Although she married my father in 1946, she mentioned this guy often, as he occupied a part of mom's heart until her death on Mother's Day this year. we have been there 25 times, always stayed at the kahala ,new owners last year treated terrible the hotel lost our luggage for 4 hrs we use to love it but would never go bake they were not even nice about the luggage problem!!! ... Read Full Review | Report This

My family went to Oahu last summer. Although we stayed in Ko Olina we ended up on the North Shore quite a lot!!! Love everything about it from the little shops, to the shaved ice! Sunsets on these beaches (Banzai pipeline, turtle bay, and Sunset) are incredible! You may also want to check out Waimea Falls while you're on that side of the island. ...
