I went to Huston in 94 to visit a friend and didn't leave for 5 years. I loved it. I never saw myself living in a city but once I got there and saw all there was to do I couldn't leave. There is always something to do from the Livestock Show and Rodeo in Feb to the year round walks on the beach at Galveston. If it wasn't for my family living here on the east coast I'd still be there. Can't wait to go back and I will!... More

I moved to Houston for 2 years from Boston. Went to the Rodeo the first 2 weeks I was there. They aren't afraid to mention and thank God in public there like here in good old anti-Christ Kennedy country. Moving back to Boston last year was the biggest mistake I ever made. Farm towns around Houston such as Sealy reminded me of what America must have been like at one time. Very friendly people and just easy laid back living. Only problem is there isn't much money to be made there. But the people... More

Most will give you the shirt off their back if you are in need...rather than steal your pants like they would here in Taxachussetts. I'll probably end up moving back there in the future!!

finally a place where the people are real and the food rocksI grew up in the hopelessly liberal North East. I'm now finally moving to Houston where the family and good old fashion values still remain a priority. I'm leaving my six figure income to go teach science to kids. Everywhere Houston is sprawling with new and decent schools for our children. My family and I will be home in Houston by the end of the Summer.
