Houston, Texas is the fourth largest city in the United States, and has the museums, art galleries, and family-friendly destinations to prove it.

Eighteen museums make up the Museum District, which is one of the top cultural neighborhoods in the country. These include the Buffalo Soldiers National Museum, the Children's Museum of Houston, and the Holocaust Museum. More than half of these attractions are free, and are great places to go to enjoy a day while saving money. One of the excellent Houston hotels in this district is the Hotel ZaZa Houston. Choose from indulgent guestrooms with furnishings of chenille, silk, and leather, individually themed Concept Suites, or for a decadent treat, one of the Magnificent Seven Suites, brimming with delightful little surprises.

Uptown Houston is known as an international fashion marketplace. Shoppers will delight in the 5 million-plus square feet of pure shopping pleasure. The Galleria, one of the ten largest retail centers in the USA, is located here, along with Uptown Park, the Centre at Post Oak, and the Twin Oaks Shopping Center. Houston hotels in the Uptown area include the Hotel Granduca and the Hilton Houston Post Oak Boulevard. The Granduca has Tuscan-inspired decor, including original Italian art and 400-thread count Italian linens. The Hilton is located only a block away from The Galleria.

Located halfway between the Galleria and River Oaks, which is the most exclusive residential neighborhood in Houston, is the St. Regis Hotel. The St. Regis is known for its legendary butler service. Marble bathrooms and awesome views of the city will make your stay special.

If theater or sports are your passion, you'll enjoy staying in the Crowne Plaza Houston. You can catch the Houston Astros playing at Minute Maid Park only half a mile away, or walk to the Theater Under the Stars, Bayou Place entertainment center, or the Hobby Center, where you can watch the Houston Grand Opera. The Crowne Point offers their famous Sleep Advantage program, with features quiet zones between the hours of 9:00 pm and 10:00 am, guaranteed wake up calls, and little touches like a sleep CD, lavender spray for relaxation, and eye masks.

No matter what your plans while visiting this Texas city, you have your pick of several luxurious Houston hotels to choose from. Enjoy your stay.
