Hue was the capital city of Vietnam from 1802 - 1945. It is a charming imperial city with peaceful combination of the past and the present. The Perfume River bisects the city into the northern and southern parts. To the north is the ancient citadel surrounded by moats which was home to the royal court of Vietnam in the 19th century.
