1.We Had A Great TIme!

Last year a group of family went to Camden Park. We had the best time ever. There were no long lines the food was great and was reasonably priced. We had children from the ages of 2 to 14. They all found rides that they liked. The one they liked the most was the swan ride on the lake. We look forward to returning this year and recently talked about it. By the way there are some motels in the area that have packages for reduced rates for room and Camden Park tickets. ... More

2.Too High Priced

I think it is too high priced for no more than what you get. They are getting almost as costly as Kings Island. I have to admit that I like having an amusement park close to home but I am not willing to pay full price to go there. If they truly have 30 rides I would like to know where they are. We will take our children back this summer because they enjoy it but we will go when they have the reduced rates and even then it won't be cheap.... More

I lived in thid area my entire life and am proud of the community and Camden Park. We were not rich growing up so our vacation for the summer was a trip to Camden Park and again during family reunions. This was a time honored tradition for my family and I can't wait until I take my daughter for the first time this summer. You will not be disappointed while you visit our community. While you are here you need to visit Ritter Park and the downtown area that is home of Marshall University which is ... More

While you are here you need to visit Ritter Park and the downtown area that is home of Marshall University which is a huge part of the Huntington and surrounding areas community and history. There are many things to enjoy about our area and we hope you visit us soon.

Camden Park is a wonderful amusement park. There are no long lines and you don't walk yourself to death visiting all of the attractions. Plus while you're in Huntington don't miss Pullman Square (shopping movies restaurants) the River Park on the Ohio River (a lovely walking place and concert venue) and Heritage Station (an old railroad station converted into a restaurant) which are all downtown. Also just off the interstate is Heritage Village which contains thousands of antique machines which are displayed in a very attractive way. There is also Marshall University Ritter Park and the antique shops district at 14th Street West. Finally there is the Huntington Museum of Art which has a well-known collection as well as a collection of antique and historical firearms.

W.Va/Camden ParkA nice little homey amusement park that hasn't changed in the last 75 years. I meant hokey not homey.Huntington is a city of yesterday. Population is half of what it was at its peak. The whole area looks like something someone started and then moved away before they finished. There are some beautiful parts of W.Va. but Huntington is not one of them and Charleston although more progressive isn't far behind \The Jewel City.\...
