Ilulissat is the place to see glaciers and icebergs. Good hotels. 
The ice fjord next to the town is a UNESCO site and absolutely spectacular scenery that's easy to get to.  Boat ride among the icebergs under the midnight sun.  Helicopter over the icecap.  Commercial flights available on Air Greenland from Baltimore or Copenhagen.
