Fasting Growing Metro in the Midwest

Indy is and has been on an upward swing since 1990 (from 200 to present Indianapolis is the fastest growing Large metro). Sports ARE definatley covered as we were crowned Best Sports Town in the Nation. We are ranked as one of the Top Convention and Business Markets in the Nation. Unemployment is well below the National and Midwest averages. We are the Home of Eli Lilly, Wellpoint, Simon, etc. As far as downtown is concerned- over 260 bars and restaurants with over 110 in the planning stages

Oh yay, urban sprawl, simpletons, and depression!

Very bland, regressive, and conservative. I was born and rasied an hour north-east of Indianapolis and then attended college in the city. I lived there for around 4 years. If you prefer progressive culture, bicycle transportation, and local commerce, then a life spent in Indianapolis would be a nightmare - and it was for me. The businesses are mostly corporate franchises or chain stores and the city's planners made a laughable attempt at authenticating the diverse (um, similar) neighborhoods wit

My New Home!

I just recently moved from Miami to Indianapolis and I have to say I was very afraid. My husband grew up here and My self as a Hispanic I was very scared of how I would be treated. People are so nice and very opened minded. There are a few that do not know where Puerto Rico is but, they are very eager to learn from you. The city is beautiful and I love to see the change of seasons. The Museums are great, and there are a lot of restaurnats. It truly is a beautiful city and it really needs to buil

I lived in Indy for 30 years. Since then I have lived in Santa Monica and now north of Atlanta. Except for the weather I would return to Indy at the drop of a hat.
