Garden City and Surfside Beach are also less crowded but closer to the MB attractions as needed. Coming into NC there are many quiet beaches between North MB and Wilmington NC.... More

I live in Mt. Pleasant right across the bridge - and it's a wonderful beach with only a few restaurants bars but perfectly suited for family enjoyment and the water is warm! If you want to buy a place here let me know! Went there in March 08. Had a nice time. A few nice restaurants. The shops not so much (shells and traditional tourist souvenirs-overpriced). Just 20 minutes from Charleston a wonderful city with great attractions). I hope to go again.... More
