THE QUINTESSENTIAL FAMILY HOTELWe have stayed at the historic Eagle Mountain House & Golf Club several times over the past few years. THE QUINTESSENTIAL FAMILY HOTELWe have stayed at the historic Eagle Mountain House & Golf Club several times over the past few years. Each stay has been a pleasure and has transported us back to simplier times. We like this hotel for its casualness and very good meals. This hotel is fairly priced and is a central location for the many things we like to do in the area. This is not a fancy hotel; but it has charm like you cannot believe. We let our kids run free when we visit because of its country setting. We try to play golf and really enjoy this hotel's 9-hole golf course. It is a fun scenic and sometimes challenging small course. It is interesting to note that this course was once the hay fields and pasture for the hotel's animals which have long since disappeared. The hotel offers a lot of dining options and we find the breakfasts a great way to start our day. On Sunday the dining room is the setting for a great Champagne Brunch that leaves us stuffed! Thursday night we had a 4-course Italian dinner for just $14.95 and then on Friday we had a Steak & Shrimp dinner FOR TWO PEOPLE that cost only $25.95...you cannot go wrong. The guest rooms are comfortable and clean. If you are looking for a Ritz-Carlton room this is not your place. Our room had a four-poster bed duvet and TV with more cable channels than anyone can use.The hotel is centrally located for hiking bike riding and skiing. In the winter you can cross country ski on trails right out the front door. And when alpine is what we are seeking there are many ski centers within minutes. And when skiing is not on the agenda tax free outlet shopping will get our hearts pumping.Bottom line is this hotel is great value for the money and we recommend it to all our friends and family.
