We love to visit KCMO - it's a surprising city with much culture in art, music and shopping, along with many fountains in the plaza area. I say "go, if you can" - you'll have fun! And don't forget to take in the Arabian ship museum and the Central Station area. ... Read Full Review | Report This

I was born and raised in KCMO and I have missed it a lot over the years. We moved to Tucson way back in 1951. I went back after highschool and then back to AZ. I return to KC at least every 2 years and yearly when possible, to visit family and friends.\ I think KC is a beautiful city. The older homes north of The Plaza are well kept and young families seem to be livinig in them. It is a long drive to the airport, but it is quick. I just am not impressed with the airport. Yeah so Kansas City might not be the best city in the United States, but I love it. I'm proud to say I'm from KC and everyone else is too. There are plenty of interesting things to do here, you just have to do a little research before you come. And as for the person who wrote that the famous jazz and blues clubs aren't all in the same place, well you're wrong. I was born in Wichita, Kansas, I grew up in Gladstone until 1968. I was dragged kicking & screaming to LOUISIANA, I lived in NEW ORLEANS, LA. area until 1996, then moved to LAFAYETTE,LA. 4 years before KATRINA hit NEW ORLEANS~METAIRIE, LA.
