Having grew up in Maine and got to see the beautiful coast woods and lakes it is the most peaceful place I know. I now live out of state due to my husband's job but I miss Maine dearly. Summer and fall are my favorite seasons there the fall foliage is beautiful up on top of a mountain looking down on a lake. If you vacation in Maine you should definately consider going to Bar Harbor (which is where Acadia Nat. Park is) Boothbay/Cambden region Baxter state park or even Moosehead Lake...you will ... More

If you vacation in Maine you should definately consider going to Bar Harbor (which is where Acadia Nat. Park is) Boothbay/Cambden region Baxter state park or even Moosehead Lake...you will not regret it!! And don't forget to stop at the little restaurants/shops along route 1. Its the coastal route and just beautiful.

5.Love of Maine

Although we love all of New England Maine is by far our favorite. It has been the only place we vacation since we first made the trip 11 years ago. The Kennebunkport area is just beautiful. The scenery food people it is all wonderful. It is what you picture in your mind when you think of New England. It is timeless. We feel as if we were born in the wrong place and we \belong\ when we are there. We get heart sick when we have to leave to go home. Words can not describe how we feel. It is always ... More
