Kerrville is in the heart of the famed Hill Country, an hour's drive nw of San Antonio. A small community of only 20,500 people, it nonetheless has a lot to offer for travellers. The beauty of the Guadalupe River is the main draw. Canoe, kayak, tube, swim or fish; campsites and B&B's are available adjacent to the river. Also, a number of very good restaurants offer river views or outside dining. Try River's Edge Tuscan Grille, the Lakehouse, Billy Gene's, Jazz Kitchen and even Starbucks. ...
