went to ireland for our 30th annv. except for getting out of alanta air port it was a trip of a lifetime. friendly people great food and the views were unbelievable. we can't wait till our next trip this time the kids and grandkids are going

Killarney is a nice tourist destination but almost too touristy. I would recommend a trip around the neighboring ring of Beara for a true taste of Ireland. No tourist busses and very rural.

Parade Organization. I took my youngest son and Killarney was one of our stops. As with every place we stopped in Ireland the locals were most hospitable and friendly. We chatted with locals to discover places off the beaten track...and we were not disappointed. We ate at tiny hole in the wall reataurants; visited out of the way local points of interest; and pubs..ah yes...we never entered a pub we didn't enjoy. The locals are the most friendly we have ever encountered...and this was true of every where we visited in Ireland. Looking for a return trip to discover the North side.

I'm 14 years old and I just got home from my 4th trip to Ireland. I had the best time ever and Ireland is so peaceful and pretty. My grandparents grew up in Kilarney and Galway and I have one great-uncle still over there and four great-aunts. For first-time travlers to Kilarney I'd recomend using Corcran Tours located right in Kilarney it's my uncle Sonny's tour buisness. Ask for Eddie to be your driver he is the best and you can go on a Ring of Kerry tour. My uncle's company has toured President Clinton Michael Jackson and many other celebrities. For those adventure goers I'd recomend visiting the Gap of Dunloe it's about fifteen minutes out of Kilarney my aunt lives there and I stayed there for a whole summer before I didn't want to leave. The Gap is a beautiful place tucked in between two mountains and I have climbed Mt. Strakeum that was the best part of the trip. At the top of the mountain there are rock piles me cousins and I have made each time we go up you add a rock for someone who has died or couldn't be there. Then after you hike the mountain you can visit Kate Kearney's Cottage my favorie place ever! Lastly another marvelous attraction in Kilareny is Moucross Gardens the beautiful garden mase is so pretty you could find yourself walking around in it for hours! I have personally visited these places before and it was a life changing experience I even plan to go to college and live there when im older. Air fares usually cost $1000/per person round trip but some of the best things in Ireland like Mt. Strakeum and Moucross Gardens are free!

The best trip we have ever taken! The Irish People were the warmest people we had ever met. We will be going back in 1-2 years to find that special place so we can just go there in the future and encamp ourselves. I recommend a trip for all!
