The King Khaled International Airport is a slick architectural structure blending traditional Arab designs and practical requirements. It opened in 1984 and is located 22 kilometers (14 miles) north of Riyadh. The airport sees up to 14 million passengers a year and has two runways and four terminals - all the terminals are linked by walkways. All the terminals have a passenger help desk; a bank is located in Terminal 2, and ATMs in Terminals 2 and 3. The airport also has a mosque, a 24-hour hospital, and restaurant. If you need to rent a car, Hertz and Avis Budget provide their service at the airport, but keep in mind that women are not allowed to drive on public roads. You can also take any of the prepaid taxis with the airport logo on them - they run 24 hours a day.
