Jamaica, that I was exposed to was quaint, but dirty especially those Jerk Shops, no 5 star dining. And you have to becareful where you go, there is lots of crime. Jamaica is the greatest place on Earth! Maybe I say this because I am Jamaican but it is my absolute favorite place to go, and I absolutely love it. The downsides, are there is a TON of violence. My cousin just got robbed yesterday and had her cell phone stolen. My mother went there a few years ago, and saw someone being robbed of all there jewelry right on the street. We went to Sandals in ochos rios.. we hated it. The resort was crappy and the country itself motto seems to be sex and smoke dope. Americans are not liked there and they are perfectly clear with that message. I travel alot. this place is a crap hole. That island is not a pretty as most of the carribean. need i say more, besides the rudeness of the people, i was pulled into a room and stripped searched for drugs b/c i looked "suspisious", yet the colored gentleman behind me, was high as a kite and reeked af pot. i was parinoid the whole time there b/c of the horror stories i was told, and that trip confirmes them..
