Knoxville was great. UT is great. But flights from Knoxville thru Chicago can get messed up. They held our early plane for 3 hours for fog in Chicago. When we got there and missed all of our flights there was no trace of fog. Today tried to book a flight thru AOL travel. Website was slow and the price increased while it took me an hour to book a flight. Went to American Airlines website and found my flight to be almost $200.00 less. Dont book on AOL. Knoxville offers plenty of cheap and/or free attractions with a small town charm and a big city vibe. The people are friendly and the attractions draw all different types of people with a fun event for everyone. One of my best experiences was on board the Volunteer Princess yacht which offers luxurious services and atmosphere at an affordable price. The staff was friendly and the cruise was an excellent way to see and experience Knoxville from the Tennessee River. It is great for dates and family gatherings alike!

Knoxville offers many and varied things to do and see. Traffic on the interstates has improved immensley in the past few years. Living in Knoxville one can travel to many places within one day. People are friendly clerks attentive service in restaurants extremely good. Lakes abound and public parks are well situated in and around the suburbs. The downtown is \back\ and alive each and every evening with good entertainment. Great place to live and/or visit.... More

There is civilization here beyond U-Tenn in center city. Friendly folks on paddlewheel river tour was offered extra dessert by other unacquainted travelers hoteliers most courteous but not unctuous. Good gateway to Smoky Mountains to the east; not much except Oak Ridge tour to the west Could retire here to suburb such as Farragut easily.
