Kos, Greece Reviews and Ratings

Kos is a green island. Meaning that it is lush with vegetation. There is also a mountain that offers the most beautiful sunsets in the world that over look the Aegean and Asia Minor. Kos is just a short 30 minute boat ride from Bodrum (historic Halikarnasis) Turkey. Kos offers excellent beaches, freindly people and a variety of in town hotels (which I recommend) or the outside of town huge commercial hotels (which I don't recommend as they are hurting the local economy and you really don't get the feeling of the community when you stay there). It is a tourist island in the summer time and settles back to more normal island life in the winter. Kos also is the home of Hippocrates and his original hospital, along with many, many more antiquities. In general a pleasant stay with much to see and do.
