1.Lake Tahoe is a slice of heaven!

Grew up about 45 minutes from Lake Tahoe but the military has taken us to the east coast for over 15 years now and every time we visit we remember fondly Lake Tahoe is a tiny slice of God's heaven! Tons of out door things to do no matter the season and lots of indoor intertainment as well. Take a dddddeeeppppppp breath - last fesh air on earth!... More

I think the person that wrote the last review. Came to ski a little early.. The snow is always better in February. We were there just after a big snow storm in January and the conditions were great.. I would tell her that there are lots of ski resorts around the lake if you don't like the one you are in all it takes is a short drive..We have stayed in Truckee and South Lake Tahoe we have also stayed in a couple of condoes around the lake. There is always something to do.. and the views os the la... More

I just returned from Lake Tahoe on December 22 and I was not crazy about it. I don't like the setup of the ski resort and when you get off of the gondola there are steps you have to go down that are just an accident waiting to happen. After you get down those steps everything is FLAT. I worked up a sweat just getting to the first lift. I only have one resort to compare this to since the only other place I have ever skied is Jackson Hole but I definitely like Jackson Hole much much more. Ther... More

There is way more to do in the winter besides just skiing. Also something else I noticed is that there is no ski apres on the mountain. I will say that the locals are super nice.
