Not Crazy about Tahoe 
I just returned from Lake Tahoe on December 22 and I was not crazy about it.  I don't like the setup of the ski resort, and when you get off of the gondola there are steps you have to go down that are just an accident waiting to happen.  After you get down those steps everything is FLAT.  I worked up a sweat just getting to the first lift.  I only have one resort to compare this to since the only other place I have ever skied is Jackson Hole, but I definitely like Jackson Hole much, much more. There is way more to do in the winter besides just skiing.  Also, something else I noticed is that there is no ski apres on the mountain.  I will say that the locals are super nice.
