We were asked if we wanted to upgrade to a "Suite". We thought that sounded great. The clerk said we would have a view of the strip. We had a view of a building under construction.The room was a "dump" NO way was it a Suite. There were cigarettes butts on the balcony, rust in the tub, mineral stains in the sink, no coffee pot, no blow dryer. Opened a cabinet next to the fridge to find rotten boards. They are very misleading

Just returned from the Sahara Hotel and its still not an up to date hotel, rooms were dated (from the Elvis days) I would not recommend unless your really trying to save money. Its at the far end of the main strip so you pay a taxi or monorail fee to go the nicer hotels and restaurants. You get what you pay for... On line view of rooms is not accurate. Pool is fine ... More

The Sahara was the first hotel I ever stayed in at Vegas and that was back when Wet 'N Wild was still next door. It has aged considerably then, primarily because of the newer hotels that have since been built. Good for the budget-minded traveler, but not many others.... More
