4.Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas

My husband and I just came back from a week long stay in Vegas. We were first time visitors and wanted to see it all. We came home exhausted with aching feet but had fun! I think we went at a perfect time of year. Not too many kids, weather was great and not too crowded. The first few days we stayed in Tahiti on Tropicana ave which is a little off the strip but we got a free shuttle until midnight. The second half we stayed at The Hotel in Mandalay Bay which was pretty cool. My only compla... More
My husband and I just came back from a week long stay in Vegas. We were first time visitors and wanted to see it all. We came home exhausted with aching feet but had fun! I think we went at a perfect time of year. Not too many kids, weather was great and not too crowded. The first few days we stayed in Tahiti on Tropicana ave which is a little off the strip but we got a free shuttle until midnight. The second half we stayed at The Hotel in Mandalay Bay which was pretty cool. My only complaint was that after midnight the free tram from Excaliber to our hotel shut down and we were forced to walk through Excaliber, Luxor and then to Mandalay Bay. Also there werent any places open to have a cup of coffee or a late night snack. Only place we could find was a Mcdonalds open 24/7 between Excaliber and the Luxor. So from our hotel it would have been quite a hike. We made sure that on the way back from the strip we picked something up to bring back with us but if we stayed at Mandalay ay for the day we were screwed if we wanted something after 11pm during the week. Other than that we loved Vegas and all the themed casinos were great! There is so much to do and see. This is an adult disney world.

If you feel you are a gambler, you may not like the Hard Rock. If you enjoy a great pool, this is the Hotel for you. Crazy, crazy and more crazy. If you like to sit in a chair at the pool and read, this is NOT the place for you.... More
