You People Are All Cowards...I Loved Lima, It's Culture, It's People!

I stopped in Lima last November on my way to Cusco and Machu Picchu. I spent four glorious days in Miraflores and the surrounding area. My wife and I walked the streets to Huaca Pucclana at late hours to eat nightly. I ate at local restaurants daily. I visited all of the neighborhoods, including Callao and Barranco. Of all the places in the world to discuss you pick Lima. I have suffered through my experiences in Lima. The weather is miserable, a mist every night that deposits the ever present airborne dust. In your face poverty and crime overwhelms any sense of safety. People of wealth are forced to live behind gated walls patrolled by seriously armed security guards. No mass transportation in the city.
