Lima is indeed the gastronomic capital of Latin America. The restarants are AMAZING! The desserts, decadent, and the service.....outstanding. The best beaches are in southern Lima.
Great shopping.Wonderful art.,theater, museums. Fun nightclubs. Great city.Miraflores is the place to stay.

The person who wrote the bad thigs about Peru and aperently lives in USA must have never been anywere even in the States. This country has more people living in poverty, on the streets under the bridges etc. He/She must have never in the South in cities like New Orleans, Memphis etc.and looket at the dumps people live in. Someone found it and turned it in to security. Taxi service cheap and plentiful. Beach was very rocky - no sand to walk on but provided a cool breeze to compensate the high humidity. Local food was different than what I was use to. Be careful where you eat at. I toured a local food market and found flies cov
