Visited in December 2008 en route to the Kalahari. The town has no merit for the visitor nothing to see or do except visit Hardap Dam which is overpriced & somewhat unfriendly staff. We stayed at the Lapa Lounge Game Lodge about 30k from town on the M29 - isolated new development very friendly & welcoming hosts sited within a game park with traditional thatched bungalows with a braai camping pool game drive included teaming with wildlife birds boks giraffe meercats a plenty beautiful lod... Well worth a stay. Ask about the red dunes!
