I don't know what people are talking about when they say Morocco is dirty and the people are rude and unfriendly. I had the best experience when I went last month! Fez was my favorite part of the country but Marrakech was also very nice. My only complaint is that it has too much European influence. I liked the food and the people were friendly and helpful. My mom got sick and had to be hospitalized and everyone from the hotel staff to the people at the hospital to people on the street (when me and my brother got lost) helped us however they could. I for one am dying to go back.

The best trip ever! I found the people to be sweet and very friendly. We drove all over the south and even spent a night in the desert. Anyone who did not like Morocco is a baby. Keep your Mexico. This is a country for the smart and willing to look past what you deem normal. Very cheap hotels with fantastic service. Stay in a riad. I read some reviews and you are talking about 10 years ago. Look what New York was like ten years ago. Go. Woman are not bothered here and they have gotten rid of all of the guides who use to bother you.
I have mentioned going here to many people and they have all come back saying how fantastic this place is.

I went to morocco in 1978 and I can't imagine that it's gotten any better. The culture, the people, the food was all terrible. I think of the trip I made when the US announces that they just captured a terrorist from Morocco. It's not they don't understand us, They don't want us there, and women traveling alone is a no no. If you don't know the culture, stay away.
