Opened in 1982 in downtown Minneapolis, the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome is now home to the Minnesota Twins and the Minnesota Vikings. The facility has also played host to the World Series, the Superbowl and the NCAA college basketball championships. The inflated stadium roof has caused some unusual moments in sporting history, including tears from heavy snow and high winds during football season, and a couple of wild ricochets off the ceiling during baseball games.
