The Out Islands consist of all the Bahamas except the major islands of Grand Bahama, New Providence and Paradise Island. The Out Islands are comprised of a few large islands (like Andros and Eleuthera) and hundreds of cays (small islands; pronounced "key"). Some of the cays are inhabited, but many are uninhabited and others are privately owned.
