Beaches of Cancun, Mexico
Cancun There is no question as to why the Mayan people made their home on the Yucatan Peninsula and surrounding regions. For thousands of years this region has been inhabited, and to this day it is still coveted by many of its visitors, bringing them back again, and again. For nearly 40 years now, a small city on the eastern most tip of the peninsula in the Mexican state of Quintana Roo has attracted millions of visitors, and quite possibly every college student who has attended an American university. It is the gorgeous resort city of Cancun, Quintana Roo, Mexico.

I travel every year to the Fiesta Americana. It is old, so you won't find marble and misters. It is small. It is spot-on the ocean, and has a beautiful pool. It is not all-inclusive. But the beach-front restaurant is excellent, as is the service. Don't take the timeshare tour; you don't need to own here. But it has its own wonderful features -- like incredible ocean views, reasonably priced and high-quality food, free laundry (so you can pack light) and a great location near the convention c... More

Traveled non stop from Philly to cancun, stayed at the Riu Caribe, it was nothing but the best time ever. Traveled with family, but still got to experience the nightlife that only Cancun can offer.

I especially give credit to the staff at the Riu Caribe, for the all inclusiveness that isnt just food, isnt just entertainment, but truly makes you feel at home. There were excursions during the day to go see mayan ruins, excursions at night to go clubbing, there was never a moment of boredom... More

There were excursions during the day to go see mayan ruins, excursions at night to go clubbing, there was never a moment of boredom, unless you wanted one.

I HIGHLY recommend cancun and the Riu Caribe to anyone interested in traveling to Cancun. If you are from the Mid-Atlantic, US Air offers the most non stop flights to Cancun at a variety of times out of Philly.

Dont rent a car there, only bad things occur. Cancun offers "drunk busses" much like Ocean City MD.
