The Crash Boat Beach so named because of an oil tanker's hull cracking and spilling oil into the sea back during the Vietnam War. This was when the Ramey Air Force Base was in full swing with active military personnel conducting training. My husband and I wanted to go back to the Caribbean islands since our honeymoon in St. Thomas. So we decided to try out Puerto Rico. My husband and I wanted to go back to the Caribbean islands since our honeymoon in St. Thomas. So we decided to try out Puerto Rico. I knew I didn't want to deal with the hustle and bustle of San Juan so after a bit of research and a flipping of the coin between two cities we chose to stay visit Aguadilla. It was the best decision we could have made. It is a beautiful city with lots to do. As we were staying for two weeks we decided to rent a guesthouse apartment. It was a fully furnished one bedroom which was perfect for our family of 3. We were only 5 minutes from Crashboat Beach which was one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. We also had the opportunity to check out some of the other smaller less populated beaches which were also very beautiful. Being in a guesthouse was great because the owner lived next door and gave us many tips on \local\ things to do on top of all of the great tourist things to do. And I was even able to live out two of my dreams... horseback riding on the beach and scuba diving. Scuba diving in Crashboat was absolutely exhilerating! We now want to get certified! We can't wait to go back!
