Except for the oceanfront, an excursion to Bal Harbor Shops, Joe's Stone Crabs, the Zoo, I'd recommend an enema. Your dignity may be bruised, but the rest of you will return home relatively intact. Miami Beach can be a delight, but step onto the mainland and "Paradise" turns into "Bizarro World!" Dirty as they are, take a cab and arive alive. No quarter given and no respect. I lived in Miami for 6 years. It truly is a beautiful city. but not for everyone. I will grant you that Spanish is a language that if you spoke, would make it easier. The people can be unfriendly, and the drivers are the worst.. A previous post stated that Miami was a well managed 3rd world city, but I wouldn't even give it "well managed" status. The scenery and weather are fabulous, but I would rather live anywhere else and shovel snow!! ... Read Full Review | Report This
