Mineola has a well-restored downtown area with shopping and restaurants we find to be head and shoulders above those in other similarly-size communities. Then there is the nature preserve that is quickly becoming a destination for a number of locals and visitors. It has approximately 13 miles of new equestrian trails for horse lovers and a growing mountain bike trail. When it's not raining and not cold it's a wonderful place to visit. Mineola has a well-restored downtown area with shopping and restaurants we find to be head and shoulders above those in other similarly-size communities. Then there is the nature preserve that is quickly becoming a destination for a number of locals and visitors. It has approximately 13 miles of new equestrian trails for horse lovers and a growing mountain bike trail. When it's not raining and not cold it's a wonderful place to visit. In September they will be opening their museum and that will only add to the local appeal that currently offers one of the oldest continuous movie theaters (with first run movies) in the state of Texas.
