I grew up in Bloomington in the 1950's. a carload of high school buddies would stop into the local White Castle shop and order 100 hamburgers. 12 cents a piece. It was great memories for me. I live in Oregon now since 1971. I don't miss the extreme cold at all. Minneapolis is a very clean. Minnesotans are the friendliest people in the world. Contrary to the opinion of a couple comments online.

Minneapolis and St. Paul are truly exceptional. No the food isn't on par with San Francisco the theaters not equal to Broadway nor does it have a skyline as dramatic as Chicago but it is a place that uniquely incorporates many of the best aspects of these other cities into one neat friendly and inexpensive setting that is both charming and cosmopolitan. The natural beauty especially around the Mississippi and the vast number of lakes is extraordinary. Without a doubt two of the better cities ... More
