We stayed over the weekend for three nights 3/7/08 - 3/10/08. This was the worst hotel ever. I mean it... in the 40 years I have been alive and 18 foreign countries I've visited, this was the WORST hotel I have ever stayed in.

We stayed over the weekend for three nights 3/7/08 - 3/10/08. This was the worst hotel ever. I mean it... in the 40 years I have been alive and 18 foreign countries I've visited, this was the WORST hotel I have ever stayed in.
Besides the hotel being old, ugly, dated and rundown, this was the noisiest hotel -- inside and out. There was the regular city street noise from cars and trucks, but the location is by a hospital so there were sirens from emergency vehicles all night long. Plus I woke up to a helicopter outside my 6th floor window twice. Inside there were doors slamming all night long, noise from people hanging out in the atrium, and wild preteens running the halls. Due to the open concept of the atrium, noise traveled and amplified. It was impossible to sit and relax in the suite and watch TV because of all the noise. Not to mention impossible to sleep. The slamming doors were unbelievable. I tried to call the front desk to deal with the teens yelling and throwing stuff off the 5th floor balcony, but could not get an answer. I wrote comments on a comment card and handed it to the desk clerk while she was on the phone. At the least, I expected to have a voicemail message apologizing and saying they took care of it, but I heard nothing. Not even at check out. This was a comment card that said something like⦠âlet us take care of any problems before you check-out.â
Staff unhelpful. Itâs just a bad hotel with poor management. Extremely noisy, dirty and dingy. The rooms were hot. Opening the window did not help. Box fan did not help with the heat or blocking the noise. The water feature in the atrium was broken, an elevator was broken, a hot tub was broken, and the working Jacuzzi did not have hot water. TV remotes not working. Bright sun came through the curtain in the morning. The bathroom was small. Parking was expensive ($20/ a night). Business center was nice but noisy because of open ceiling.
