Moab is great if you like hiking rafting handgliding or mountain biking. It is only 5 miles from Arches National Park - which you can spend 3 days exploring and still not see everything. It is about 60 miles from Canyonlands Park - which is a lesser know park but very interesting as well. It gets to 100+ degrees in the summer so it is best to explore at the crack of dawn and after dinner and rest by the pool from 10 am to 4 pm.... More

My husband and I came back to Florida by way of Moab about 20 years ago. We were not able to stay or spend time there but it was one of the most unique and interesting areas I have ever visited and we hoped to return someday but never got the opportunity. It made an indelible picture in my memory I'll never foget. I wondered what the doors or cutouts in the very tall rocks were south of Utah and was never able to find out. ... More

Moab is fabulous even if you DON'T bike run or rock climb. The jet ski tour down the Colorado River was great fun and we saw a lot of ancient ruins and petroglyphs along the riverside. Take a 4-wheeling tour in the Red Rocks. Touring Arches Nat'l Park is a MUST and you can go on your own or on the tour shuttle. Center Cafe is our favorite restaurant the Gonzo Inn is dog-friendly and the nicest place in town to stay. Rent a Jeep and go explore on your own. And there's GREAT shopping in my o... More

And there's GREAT shopping in my opinion for jewelry & home accessories. GO GO TO MOAB!
