I would not recommend using this tour group called "Go Russia" for a Russian visit. Now their tour guides were good and very knowledgeable, when they showed up on time. Also, I was dropped off at the wrong airport terminal, had to make numerous international calls and pay $25 US for a cab to get to the correct terminal. Go Russia did not refund me for their drivers’ mistake. They accused me of telling the driver the wrong terminal when in fact he spoke no English ... More

The MAKS Air Show was great, Moscow was great but Go Russia was not.

My wife is (Russian) from latvia but her and I have had numerous trips to Moscow because that is where we had to fly to in order to go to Siberia....long story short you need to know where to go and where NOT to go in this huge metropolitan sometimes scary city....most people are \somewhat friendly\ no one bothers yu but trying to get any information from anyone seems like a huge ordeal...the food was ok the weather was cold the traffic terrible and the hotels over priced cold and small...but we... My wife is (Russian) from latvia but her and I have had numerous trips to Moscow because that is where we had to fly to in order to go to Siberia....long story short you need to know where to go and where NOT to go in this huge metropolitan sometimes scary city....most people are \somewhat friendly\ no one bothers yu but trying to get any information from anyone seems like a huge ordeal...the food was ok the weather was cold the traffic terrible and the hotels over priced cold and small...but we speant 5 days (our longest one time stay) and flew into the city 4 different times....not my favorite city...Russia does have some very nice quaint friendly villages..Siberia is breath-taking !!!

3.Russia and Moscow are great cities

About 12 years ago I had the priviledge of spending several months in Russia. MoscowSt. Petersurg and Chelyablinsk (in the Urals) even two days in Siberia. The people were wonderful. So many wanted to know about the U.S. and were very happy to tell me about their city and country. I was invited to various homes for dinner. Some of those dinners cost the individuals pretty close to a months pay but they went all out to host this American.Red Square and Lenin's Tomb where the Russian Hiarchy ... More

Some of those dinners cost the individuals pretty close to a months pay but they went all out to host this American.Red Square and Lenin's Tomb where the Russian Hiarchy views the May 1st parade the department store Gum which is there and the Church. I was even allowed to visit inside the Kremlin. Now that was a rare treat.St. Petersburg was my favorite city. The waterways the churches and always the people. Simply wonderful.Chelyabinsk was where most of my time was spent. We brought over a Los Angeles Police Officer to run in a special marathon there honoring fallen Police Officers. The Police there and the people were so appreciative of that.For one week we stayed in a three story concrete Dasha that was originally built for Stalin. The property was in the middle of a field surounded by walls guard dogs and armed guards. That was something else.Would I go there again. You better believe it.

RussiaI visited Moscow in 2002 and found a very nice people and beautiful city. My hotel was excellent and the food delicous. I was amazed at their subway system and the Tsum shopping center all 3 levels underground. The marble and chandeliers in the metro stations and the Tsum were beautiful. My friend Ludmila showed me around the town and she was the most beautiful of all. For me anyway. I could not believe all the new houses and subdivisions around the outskirts of Moscow as I flew for home. ... More

They seem to have it all there shopping dining casinoes theatre history culture nightclubs moscow zoo country club and circus. Quite a place.
