Like Shasta Mt Ranier is mostly mountain and not a taller peak than those around it. You are in the presence of a real mountain and it is as friendly or terrible depending on how you approach it.... More

I don't want anyone to come to Mt. Rainer for one reason....more people will ruin it. The rustic campgrounds and the beautiful QUIET trails will be gone forever. They will take down the mountain for more parking.....DO NOT COME!... More
