i go every year to oktoberfest in munich for a day or two [that's all one can take]. it is the one thing everyone should see.......i always stay in garmisch-partenkirchen in the alps, about 1 1/2 hour by train, but worth the ride. absolutely gorgeous........no industry, so very theraputic and relaxing. munich offers wonderful shopping, great food and the best selection of bier in the world. a great spirited and friendly group of people..........museums are some of the best in the world, too. lo ... i've been there quite a few times, and am never disappointed. Always something to do, always people to meet. Yes it has the Bierhalls, and that is where you met people from around the world. Get out of the tourist areas and go met the German people. Then you'll see Munich and Germany, (and Austria too). ... Read Full Review | Report This
